On behalf of the entire Bodylogix team, we’re thrilled to announce the grand prize and secondary prize winners of the What’s Your Bodylogix? contest.
Grand Prize:
The 2011 Mercedes-Benz C250 Special Edition goes to: Jest Dempsey Sidloski of Lacombe, Alberta!
Losing 1/4 of your body weight is an amazing accomplishment! Jest, your story of transformation and enthusiasm really caught the eye of our voters and judges. Thank you for your story, and your truly valuable Bodylogix advice. We hope you enjoy your new wheels, especially since you shared your news, when we notified you, of your former vehicle being run off the road last month!
“Five Months ago I had hit my rock bottom. I weighed 245.9 pounds at my heaviest. There will be no excuses in this story, just truths. I ate fast food 5 times per week, and did not care what I ate in between. Time and time before I told myself I needed a change, That was then. Today I weigh 179 Pounds, I am confident, outgoing, & successful. Told myself I wanted to look good, wanted confidence. I have lost almost 70 pounds in 5 months. I started it with a BANG. I went through my house and chucked everything that was processed & full of sugar. Naturally this did not leave me with too much. I filled the cart with fruits, vegetables, skim milk, yogurt, nuts, whole wheat bread, Multivitamins, meal replacement shakes, and a detox programme. April 1st, the day I was going to change for ever. I joined a gym, I went for one hour almost every single day, cardio, weight training, and a new attitude. My Bodylogix Advice to You is to stay 100% positive, do not get down on yourself, look for help from friends, stay inspired, and use resources available, but most of all get EXCITED. Feel empowered, by being empowered.”
Secondary Prizes:
The $2,500 Shoppers Drug Mart Shopping Spree goes to: Eva Jamrocha of Maple, Ontario!
Eva, you have a great attitude and have summed up the essence of Bodylogix – logic about your body. Your story was very creative, and told in such a fresh and compelling way. We think you really made a connection with voters and our judges, so congratulations!
“My Bodylogix advice for others would be to pay attention to your body. It knows what it need, likes and lacks. Often we try to force our bodies to do what we want but while sheer willpower will go far, it will not last forever. It’s better to work with your body to find your special balance. Your wonderful body will tell you if it likes to sprint into a fast and short workout or if it rather have a slow warm-up and a long hard session to follow. Your cravings may also tell you a lot about what you may lack. If you crave meat and find yourself tired, you may be lacking iron. If you find that you never have any energy in the afternoon, you may not have enough vitamin B. If you find yourself craving sugar, your liver might not be working at its best and you may benefit from a detox. Not everyone’s body works exactly the same, so each one of us has to find out how to keep our unique body healthy. Bodylogix can help you set up a routing that suites you both. Remember, your body is your best buddy.”
The three night spa retreat goes to Shepherd Campbell of McKellar, Ontario!
Thank you for sharing your story and shedding some much needed light on PCOS. We admire your dedication to helping others, and our voters and judges think your spirit and efforts in supporting Canadians to live active lifestyles justly fits your reward. Enjoy!
“As a woman living with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), I felt it was necessary to try to do something about it for myself and for others. I’ve made it my mission to educate women about this commonly misdiagnosed syndrome. Approximately, one in ten women has PCOS and may not even know it; chances are that someone you know has it too. Women with PCOS often do not use the insulin in their body properly which can cause many to struggle with obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure & cholesterol, but unfortunately many are not diagnosed until they experience infertility. Since my diagnosis I have started a support group for others trying to make positive changes in their lives to lessen the symptoms of PCOS. The group helps deals with how to reduce weight through exercise, proper eating habits, and supplements; it also provides emotional support for those experiencing infertility and the other side effects of this metabolic condition. I have been using the Bodylogix System for the past six months, and since this time I have seen amazing changes in my body, energy level and self-esteem. Thank you Bodylogix for helping women living with and without PCOS lead better quality lives.”
From the entire Bodylogix team: Thank You.
We were absolutely blown away by the number of entrants, and the variety of health and fitness stories that were told. Thanks so much to everyone who entered the contest and opened up to us by sharing their story.
Selecting the winners was a painstaking process, since there were so many inspiring, uplifting, and emotional stories to choose from. Among members of our judging panel were Bodylogix sponsored athletes Miryah Scott and David Kimmerle. Our three winners were selected based on the quality and suitability of the story they told as well as the number of votes received. Our three winners told extremely encouraging stories that embody the spirit of the Bodylogix community: loving your body, believing in yourself, and having a passionate energy toward health and fitness.
A huge thank you also goes out to Mercedes-Benz Canada and Shoppers Drug Mart for helping us make this contest happen by collaborating on the amazing prizes.
We are grateful to each and every one of you for opening up a dialogue with us, and we hope to continue this discussion with you now that the contest is over. Please keep in touch with Bodylogix on Facebook, sign up for our newsletter, or follow us on Twitter.
Thanks again, and congratulations to our winners! Check our Facebook page to see if you are one of our final weekly or monthly winners too!

congrats to winner, but surprised who won as I only saw one entry of his in contest! but yes good story losing 1/4 of weight, doing it the same way I lost 50% of my weight, 300 to 150. but i also had to do it while working full time plus raising 4 kids plus foster kids, looking after handicapped husband, getting up 2 hours early in morning to exercise before 12 hour shifts at work, and also i could’ve shown you pics of all the cars my boys wrote off, the most recent last week! but hope theYOUNG creative jest likes his new wheels.
